Human Resources Officer - Human Resource Development (Regional Employee Development Administrator)

Serves as the Employee Development Administrator for a region within the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). Responsible for directing the employee development program for regional office staff, and for providing guidance and direction related to employee development for all operating employee development offices at the institutions throughout their respective region. Responsibilities includes providing advice and assistance in the formulation and implementation of policies, programs and operations in connection with the employee development program, tracking of mandatory training compliance and evaluations, the Mentoring Program, training needs assessment/annual training plans and in-service educational activities, along with educating and assisting staff in the use of new employee development technologies throughout the region. Responsible for the planning and operation of a comprehensive employee development program within the Regional Office as well as, advising Regional Administrators, institution Employee Development Managers, and Executive Staff on employee development, career enhancement, and in-service education. Serves as direct and primary advisor to regional Executive Staff on matters related to employee development and training, and is deemed the regions technical expert regarding employee development matters. Education:
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position.
Experience:
You must have at least one year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression. Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
Experience assessing region's need for training. Experience aligning training with organization's strategic goals and national policy. Experience providing logistical support, course development, delivery, evaluation, process measurements, and cost management. Experience building solid cross-functional relationships. Experience creating a training budget and keep operations within budget. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as number of hours worked per week) spent in the activities. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
