To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized Experience required:
To qualify at the GS-11, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-09). Specialized experience is defined as:
Experience providing contract administration and contract pricing operational functions for a wide variety of contract types, contractors, and commodities, develop solutions to improve the efficiencies of the organization as well as presenting on findings/solutions. Experience must also include experience with Share Point design, Excel pivot tables, and queries, and data mining. To qualify at the GS-12, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-11). Specialized experience is defined as:
Experience applying Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and internal management control procedures to ensure contract obligations and costs are in compliance with applicable laws in order to verify/support any waste or misappropriation; experience collecting and analyzing data, developing reports and presentations in order to present findings and recommendations to management; experience must also support utilizing a variety of contract automation tools to include contracting e-Business tools such as Enterprise Integrated Toolset (EITS). Education can be substituted for experience for the GS-11 position. Education can not be substituted for experience for the GS-12 position You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees AND at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields:
accounting, business finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management. (This requirement can be obtained within the degree or in addition to the degree). NOTE:

Current civilian personnel in DoD, who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000 are exempt from meeting this requirement. Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS-1102 on or before September 30, 2000 are also exempt from meeting this requirement.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
