Equal Employment Manager (Regional Affirmative Employment Administrator)

This position is the Regional Affirmative Employment Administrator in a Regional Office, Federal Bureau of Prisons. The incumbent advises and assist management at the regional and institution level in the administration and promotion of equal employment in meeting federal requirements under the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's (EEOC) Management Directive (MD)715. He/she is responsible for coordinating Reasonable Accommodation procedures Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Diversity Management and other legislative and Executive mandates. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for all phases of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action to include managing the region's Federal Women's, Black Affairs, Disability Awareness, Asian, Alaskan Native/American Indian/Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, and Hispanic Employment Programs. To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements:
EducationThere is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this grade level. OR Experience You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progress for the occupation in the organization. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
Experience planning, directing, implementing and monitoring a component of an Affirmative Employment program. Experience in the development, implementation and monitoring of Affirmative Action/FEORP/DVAAP plans and providing EEO advisory services to management. Experience in analyzing information and making recommendations for resolution of alleged claims of discrimination. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in activities. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
