Material Handler


Responsibilities include receiving all products, staging orders, Sanitation and Janitorial, Case Coding, Rework, and general dock work including slip sheeting and air bagging in a Shipping/Warehouse environment. Individuals will also be responsible for general sanitation of the
warehouse which may involve use of a scrubber and will perform all duties necessary to maintain a sanitary and orderly environment. Direct temporary work crews for quality inspections and rework/repack projects to achieve productivity and company standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow all company procedures related to the tracking of all products received and shipped
Effectively communicate with all personnel, customers and peers
Process inbound transfers
Move and adjust inventory with the involvement of Inventory Control and the Shipping Supervisor
Complete appropriate paperwork as required
Maintaining a safe, clean and healthful work environment at all times
Performs assigned duties in accordance with departmental objectives and within the guidelines of departmental and company's work and safety rules
Will be responsible for verifying counts of product staged
Check items received, locate in appropriate storage area(s), and enter into computerized inventory system
Reviews daily inventory, understands warehouse operation and anticipates incoming and outgoing product
Assist in maintenance of warehouse
Inspect all incoming and outgoing shipments for signs of damage
Bring to the attention of supervision in a timely manner any maintenance and/or minor repair needed to keep equipment in operational condition
Insure all equipment is stored in appropriate charging station at end of shift when using electric powered equipment
Ability and willingness to train and cross train with all team members
Desire to work in non-traditional, participative work environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and twisting in the performance of various task in the warehouse environment.
Ability to work at heights up to 35'
Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry weights of to 60 pounds at varying frequencies.
Ability to work in a fast pace environment
Ability to operate various types of machinery to include, but not limited to, lift trucks, scrubbers, sweepers, hand trucks, etc.
Must be able to operate gasoline, liquefied gas, or electronic-powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices, such as forklift, clamp lifts, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment or materials in warehouse or storage yard

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to work overtime and any shift
Ability to work in demanding work environment
Must be very accurate with a well-developed attention to detail
Good verbal & written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures
Basic knowledge of accepted inventory procedures and practices
Must be able to keep receiving or other records as assigned by supervisor
Qualified lift operator
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Possess ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
Successfully pass a basic math test
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have excellent attendance and safety record
Must be able to pass a physical agility test
After qualification, the company may require First Aid, CPR and/or other certifications necessary in Shipping/Warehouse environment

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
