Graveyard Shift REFERENCE 25735 Key Result Areas:
Compiles and evaluates data, writes reports, communicates information relative to product quality, and handles related projects, to support the plant in producing product that meets customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
:
Communicates quality related data and information to other departments and other QA personnel, as needed.
:
Assists Quality Assurance Manager in solving and rectifying plant and product quality issues, using techniques such as Root Cause Analysis, and other quality techniques.
:
Evaluates and recommends improvements to existing quality and/or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Facilitate continuous improvement by utilizing SPC tools to analyze product and process data.
:
Performs or assists with periodic audits of plant and product quality, GMPs, QA practices, etc.

Records quality data into computer, uses computer to generate charts, graphs, and documents pertinent process and product quality.
Maintains neat, accurate and organized quality files.

Assists QA Manager in conducting Environmental (microbiological) Monitoring Program, water quality testing, etc.

Assists with assessing quality of incoming raw materials.
:
Maintains product rejection program and rejection records by tracking and isolating effected product and reasons for rejection, disposition of product.
Investigates root cause of rejections and makes recommendations based on findings to prevent future rejections.

Other duties, as assigned.
Working relationships:
Reports directly to Sr.
Quality Assurance Manager.
Works closely and cooperatively with other QA employees, and with personnel and managers in other departments.
Qualifications and competencies required:
:
Working knowledge of microbiology, sanitation, food chemistry, HACCP, SPC, and other process improvement tools.
Must be HACCP Certified, or able to become HACCP Certified.
Uses mathematical calculations as they relate to these tools.

Demonstrates high motivation and energy in working, with a sense of urgency and good time management, independent of supervision.

Able to achieve desired results through demonstrated use of confronting Source:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
