The California Conservation Corps (CCC) is a State Program that offers a unique and challenging, paid experience for young adults across the state.
The young adults are enrolled as Corpsmembers and the CCC transforms their lives through developing new job skills, expanding personal growth, and conserving California's natural resources.
Work Schedule - This position will require a Wednesday to Wednesday schedule, Possible Monday - Thursday, 10 hour days, 0630-1700.
Also required to stay with the Corpsmembers at a camp site.
This position will assist with supervising Corpsmembers on project site.
Help teach Corpsmembers proper use of tools, body mechanics and equipment.
Ensure that Corpsmembers are wearing and maintaining their Personal Protective Equipment while on the project site to prevent injuries.
Maintain vehicle keys, gas cards and pouches.
Monitor vehicles for cleanliness; follow up with drivers as needed.
Perform pre inspection on vehicles, tools and equipment to ensure safe working condition.
Transport Corpsmembers and materials as needed to and from project site.
Assist with towing of trailers and camp set up and tear downs.
Provide field support in emergency situations and transportation if needed.
Pick up materials for projects and operation needs.
Assist supervisor with paperwork and communication with sponsors and center.
Ability to tow equipment such as trailers, etc.
