This program aims to empower African American adults by providing them with essential tools and knowledge related to financial stability, household management, budgeting, and other pertinent skills.
In addition to the housing aspect, this program leads the food and resource disbursement program at The Development.

Summary:
Under the Ujamaa Project, we plan to deliver services through outreach, workshops, seminars, and referrals for other services.
At the core of each of these categories, individuals that participate will be able to communicate about housing issues, actively learn how to maintain their homes, learn about tenants rights, discuss displacement prevention, and prepare for potential home ownership.
As part of programming, The Development will select twenty (20) participants to go through additional programming that will include household management (budgeting, meal recipes, etc), conversations with realtors and lenders about credit management and more.
At the completion of their programming, the twenty (20) participants will receive a stipend to be used to assist with rent, down payment assistance, or household management.
The additional one hundred forty (140) participants will benefit from seminars, referrals for outside services, and group training sessions Supervisory

Data entry Participant management Inbound and Outbound calls Ensures that key players are regularly informed of the status of the program and activities Regularly communicates with management regarding the program's status and any problems or potential problems.
Coordinates workshops related to Household Management and other program related activities Provides Modified Case Management Conduct Food Distribution Volunteer Recruitment Food resource coordination Community resource management Monthly reporting Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent Some College Preferred At least three years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Prolonged periods of standing and walking around.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
